Julie Matucheski was born and raised in Antigo, Wisconsin. After graduating high school in 2007, Julie went to Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa to play volleyball for the NJCAA Division II Blackhawks. In addition to a full athletic scholarship, while at Southeastern, Julie was a two-time NJCAA Academic All-American and was voted team captain.
After completing her Associate of Arts degree in three semesters, Julie began studying at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. Julie received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse with a major in political science in 2011. Julie then served as an AmeriCorps VISTA for one year at a women’s philanthropic organization in Northfield, Minnesota.
In 2015, Julie received her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. While in law school, Julie participated in moot court, served as the secretary of the Women’s Law Student Association, and was selected to be a co-director of the Criminal Justice Clinic. Throughout law school Julie worked as a student certified attorney at the Tenth Judicial District Public Defenders office in Stillwater, Minnesota. Her job included appearing in court with clients on a daily basis, advocating for their interests at every stage of the criminal process.
Prior to joining Corneille Law Group, Julie served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jane F. Kauvar of the Fourth Judicial District in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and family, exploring the national parks, weightlifting, and coaching volleyball.
