In this case, Corneille Law Group successfully defended the driver of a motor vehicle who collided with an oncoming vehicle when attempting to turn left in a controlled intersection. Plaintiff was a passenger in the Defendant driver's vehicle. Plaintiff suffered two broken ribs in the collision and claimed permanent injury resulting from nerve damage. Plaintiff's treating physician supported Plaintiff's claim of permanent injury. The parties stipulated to the value of Plaintiff's past medical expenses. In closing argument, Plaintiffs requested an award of $87,150.78 – $102,150.78. The jury awarded Plaintiff his past medical bills, $3,000 in past pain and suffering, and $3,077 in lost wages. Plaintiff was awarded $0 for future damages. Plaintiff's wife also brought a loss of consortium claim for which she was awarded nothing. The total verdict therefore amounted to $8,463.49.
