Jury Trial 

In this case, Corneille Law Group successfully defended one of two families accused of clearing a road across Plaintiffs' property and engaging in other harassing behavior. Defendants argued that their actions were unintentional and that any damages sustained by Plaintiffs were nominal. Prior to trial, Defendants moved for the dismissal of Plaintiffs' claim for $150,000 in punitive damages. This motion was granted. Consequently, the case proceeded to trial under Plaintiffs' claims of trespass, private nuisance and the unauthorized cutting of raw forest products. In closing argument, Plaintiffs requested a total award of $107,860. The jury awarded Plaintiffs $200.
