In this case, Corneille Law Group successfully defended a driver alleged to have injured the Plaintiff in a motor vehicle accident. The Plaintiff claimed to have incurred $23,587.45 in past medical expenses as a result of neck, back, shoulder and throat injuries she allegedly sustained in the accident. In addition, the Plaintiff's treating neurologist initially supported a claim for $225,957.60 in future medical expenses based upon the contention that the Plaintiff suffered a neurologic injury to her neck. However, the neurologist later retracted this opinion at trial during cross-examination. In closing argument, the Plaintiff requested a total award of $399,545, but was awarded only $55,800.
